King Andre
From MIwiki
Guybrush reaches the smugglers cove with the assistance of the bumbling lackey LaFoot and an umbrella that he uses as a parachute. As soon as he enters the cave, King Andre surprises Guybrush by calling him with his name, and mentioning he expected him. Guybrush challenges Andre and Cruff to a game of poker for the diamond, though Andre laughing evilly before the game heavily indicates that he intended to cheat (in game it's stated Guybrush gets a weak hand from Andrew dealing the cards). Guybrush wins with the five death-tarot cards he received from Madam Xima. However, immediately afterwords Andre and Cruff reveal their intention to kill him. To Guybrush's luck LaFoot comes in immediately and accidentally allows the wind to blow out the lights. As Cruff and Andre are left fighting each other in the dark Guybrush slips away.
Andre is a balding, black pirate with a menacing voice and a megalomaniac streak. The pirates who raid the remains of LeChuck's ship during Part 2 of the game express their intentions to sell their loot to King Andre. The Flying Welshman describes him as being "ruthless as he is bald!"
Andre is a parody of classic Bond villains, referring Guybrush as "Mr. Threepwood" (Guybrush parodies James Bond by introducing himself as "Threepwood, Guybrush Threepwood). Also, parodying a line from possibly the most famous Bond film, Goldfinger, Guybrush can say, "You expect me to talk" and Andrew will say "No Mr. Threepwood, I expect you to buy" (parodying a line from Goldfinger where Goldfinger responds to that line saying "No Mr. Bond, I expect you to die). Finally, Andre has a ridiculous plot involving satellites and changes sets around Blood Island.
