Brett Barrett

Brett Barrett (deceased 1996) was a programmer on The Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge. He was killed in a motorcycle accident prior to the release of the third game, The Curse of Monkey Island, which is dedicated to his memory. In Tales of Monkey Island's Chapter 5: "Rise of the Pirate God", the player will find the grave of Captain Barrett ("Behold the remains of our dear Captain Barrett, pecked through the brains by his mutinous parrot"), making this the first time he has been mentioned in game.
