Captain Dread

Captain Dread is a supporting character in the second game of the series. He is a dreaded pirate that lives in a house-boat docked at the peninsula on Scabb Island. He is feared for his threatening name, which in actuality refers to his Jamaican heritage and distinctive hairstyle. Guybrush uses Dread's House Boat, The Jolly Rasta, in order to reach the neighbouring islands of Booty Island and Phatt Island. Before this Guybrush has to dissolve the Largo Embargo and get Dread a replacement for his lucky charm, the eyeball of his former navigator (Guybrush uses Wally's monocle).
His former navigator is believed to have been the Navigator Head used by Guybrush in the previous game. Dread's speech is given a faint Jamaican tint with the occasional addition of "mon" into his speech.
