Count Francisco Alvarez De Pollo is the father of the famous diver Marco de Pollo.

According to his son, Francisco was a man of "peculiar moods and eccentricities" who, in one of his "lighter moments", named his only son 'Marco', much to the consternation of his wife and extended family.
