LaFoot talking to Guybrush at the Skull Island lift
is the bungling assistant and replacement on
Skull Island. Despite his short stature and lack of physical strength he is ordered to operate the lift to the smuggler's cove. When
Guybrush tries to reach the cover LaFoot's grip slips and Guybrush will fall to the ocean. In order to successfully reach the cove the player has to use an umbrella as a parachute.
LaFoot ends up saving Guybrush's life. As King Andre and Cruff are about to kill Guybrush he bursts through the door, accidentally blowing out the lights. If the player failed at least once to get to the cove, before his departure, Guybrush will return to the top of the island and throw LaFoot off.
