LeChuck's Fortress from Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge is located on an unknown island somewhere far away from the rest of the game's locations, hidden within a storm that never ends due seemingly to LeChuck's voodoo powers. This is where Largo LaGrande and the Voodoo Priest resurrect LeChuck in his zombie form and where they bring Wally when Guybrush takes the Big Whoop Map Pieces to him. The fortress is built as a strange labyrinth with skeletal pictures on the walls that function like doors. Guybrush must push the stone that depicts the three bones in order according to the song that his skeletal parents teach him in his dream on Booty Island in order to proceed.
The fortress is an incredibly disturbing and spooky structure, each room and corridor reflecting LeChuck's love for violence and sadistic torture. In nearly every corner of the diseased building are skeletal parts, illustrating the fortress's violent background as hundreds, possibly thousands, were tortured in inhuman ways by the demonic voodoo lord and pirate himself and his followers. Many of the skeletons have since been used as decoration such as statues, while others were simply left rotting on the floor or used to hold candles. The fortress contains numerous torture chambers, a dungeon, countless corridors, and an office for LeChuck himself where he rules over the structure from a voodoo throne.
After Guybrush gets captured, LeChuck hangs him and Wally over a pool of acid with an elaborate death device that will slowly lower them into the acid. Guybrush manages to escape and lights a match in LeChuck's dynamite storage room in order to see. Unfortunately he also drops the match and completely destroys the horrid fortress, but through sheer luck, the explosion flings him to Dinky Island. Wally's fate is not revealed until The Curse of Monkey Island, where he shows up as a member of LeChuck's crew. The fates of the Voodoo Priest and Largo LaGrande have yet to be revealed: it's likely they were both killed in the explosion.
