Mount Acidophilus

Mount Acidophilus is the name of the volcano located on Blood Island. It used to erupt every night at 6 o'clock and vomit up lava everywhere around the island until the Cannibals from Monkey Island moved over and tried to pacify it with ritual vegetable sacrifices in order to appease the lactose intolerant god of the volcano, Sherman. But thanks to Guybrush, it has gone back to spewing lava down the island.
Role in Game
In order to help the Goodsoup Hotel, Guybrush sneaks into the ritual offering disguised as the awaited neighboring cannibal ambassador. He causes the volcano to erupt by throwing cheese into it. The Cannibals run off as it's no longer safe to stay around the volcano's top. The lava goes back to streaming down the island and the Goodsoup Hotel is able to get back in business now that their lava barbeque works again.
Trivia
- During the ceremony the subtitles incorrectly refer to it as Mount Acidophilous.
