Phatt City Jail

Phatt City Jail is located in the centre of Phatt Island. Because there is a bounty on Guybrush's head, he is imprisoned by Governor Phatt. Walt the dog minds the keys to Guybrush's cell. Guybrush is locked in the cell and escapes by bribing Walt with a bone from his fellow prisoner. There are two envelopes, one manilla envelope containing Guybrush's inventory, and another containing what appears to be a Gorillas inventory.
Guybrush also imprisons Kate Capsize in there by framing her for his apparent "crimes". Her near grog is contained in yet another envelope. Since Guybrush has the door key, he can choose to release Kate, but this has no bearing on the outcome of the game.
Trivia
- Guybrush using a bone to attract the attention of a dog with the keys in its mouth was inspired by Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean" ride. The movie Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl has a similar version of this scene.
