The Legendary Lost Treasure of Mêlée IslandTM is a T-shirt that Guybrush has to find and dig up in order to complete his Treasure-hunt Trial in The Secret of Monkey Island. The T-shirt reads "I found the Legendary Lost Treasure of Mêlée Island and All I Got Was this Stupid T-Shirt." It is kept there by the Mêlée Island Chamber of Commerce, who request that each treasure-hunter only take one piece.
To find the treasure deep within the woods, Guybrush buys a map from a sketchy-looking man in town for 100 pieces of eight. What he receives appears to be dance instructions, but the steps (left, right, back) are actually the directions he must follow in the woods starting from the fork in the road.
