The Storekeeper is a cantankerous clerk who owns a shop on Mêlée Island. He is constantly away from his desk, though he has a sixth-sense for shoplifters. He also has a crush on Carla, the Swordmaster. She is aware he likes her but she doesn't show any nice feelings towards him.

The Storekeeper has a rude and insulting manner towards customers, with Guybrush in particular being called "weasel-boy", "cheapskate", "fancy-pants", told his breath stinks, and so on. The Storekeeper will extend credit of up to five thousand pieces of eight towards customers with a regular job, although this is also refused to Guybrush who must procure the credit note through other means.

Appearance

The Storekeeper has a wild and unkempt look with his grey hair and beard poking out at all angles. His somewhat hunched back causes him to walk with a cane. He is aged eighty-three. Despite appearances, he's a fast walker!
