Father of Jojo Jr., Guybrush had to find him in the jungle and lure him with bananas in order to follow him to the Monkey Head clearing. He then helps Guybrush get to the Giant Monkey Head in the first game. According to his son he died of starvation as Guybrush forgot to tell him to let go of the lever he was clinging on to. In the fourth game his grave can be seen near the Monkey Head.

Game appearances

The Three-Headed-Monkey

A bizarre creature that appears a number of times in the series. "Hey look! It's a Three-Headed-Monkey" is a line used by Guybrush to try to distract other people. In the first game he appears in the Cannibals' village where Guybrush may also talk to it. A puppet of him can be seen on the Rollercoaster of Death. In the fourth game he also appears in one of Herman Toothrot's flashbacks.

Game appearances

Jojo

The piano-playing Monkey from the second game whose playing can be halted by placing a banana in front of him. After this the player may take him as an inventory item and use him as a literal monkey wrench. He should not be confused with either Jojo Jr. or Jojo Sr. who are unrelated despite their similar names.

Game appearances

Timmy the Monkey

A monkey that helps Guybrush out on Monkey Island. Apparently he is supposed to be Guybrush and Elaine's pet though he has no presence in the series prior to the fourth game. His name comes from the sarcastic phrase: "What's wrong Lassie? Is Timmy trapped in the well?"[1]. He is also the only monkey not to leave with Jojo and the others after the battle with LeChuck. Timmy also kicks Guybrush in the end causing him to jump over the edge of a cliff just before the credits roll.
