Hi! I recently made an edit to Stan's page during which I removed the following sentence from the article.

When the character was voiced for the first time in Curse of Monkey Island, he was given a smooth, American salesman accent. Some fans didn't like this, as they had expected a faster talking Italian accent based on the character's physical mannerisms.

Normally I wouldn't pay much mind to something like this but since this is you, and I believe you know a wiki (even a fan one) shouldn't have this sort supposition without a reputable source, I was wondering if you could tell me why you feel this is the case and what is your evidence. -The Hande 13:10, 27 December 2007 (EST)

Hi Hande, no problem with your removal. My reason for writing the above paragraph was just based on reading Curse of Monkey Island reviews and forum posts when it came out, but that's hard to quantify as a source. The specific source, however, is this Adventure Gamer review of CMI, which in fact supplied the specific wording I used. Joonas Linkula ran LucasFans, I seem to remember. I suppose I could cite it as a reference for the above assertion although it's really only the opinion of one fan, not fans plural...Ryback 06:05, 2 January 2008 (EST)
