VanSalad family

The VanSalad family are rivals of the Goodsoup family. They use to oppose them in the hotel business, but were driven out of the Carribean by the Goodsoups in 1637. You can find some old portraits of them in the Goodsoup Hotel, leading us to believe they once owned it. According to Guybrush, they're even homlier than the Goodsoups. We can probably assume most of them also have salad-related names.
Trivia
- The rivalry between the Goodsoups and the VanSalads is a joke. When you order an entree at most restaurants, you'll be given the option of soup or salad. Apparently soup won out in the Monkey Island series.
