Voodoo doll
From Monkey Island wiki
Voodoo dolls are powerful weapons constructed and used several times in Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge especially, as well as in some other games. The basic recipe for a voodoo doll of a specific person according to the Voodoo Lady needs four ingredients pertaining to that person: Something of the thread, something of the head, something of the body, and something of the dead.
This refers to a piece of their clothing, a bit of their hair, an internal bodily fluid, and a piece of one of their ancestors' bodies.

Monkey Island 2
Several inhabitants on Scabb Island hint that they wish they could build a voodoo doll of Largo LaGrande, which Guybrush Threepwood decides to do with the Voodoo Lady's help. He sneaks into Largo's room at the Swamp Rot Inn in Woodtick to get his toupee (the Voodoo Lady uses bits of his scalp stuck to it) and his laundry claim ticket; he collects some of Largo's freely dispensed spit; and he digs up a bone from his grandfather's grave. Combining these things with some miscellaneous voodoo herbs and spices, the Voodoo Lady concocts a voodoo doll of Largo, but she warns Guybrush that it will only work in close quarters because some of the parts are low-quality. Guybrush uses it to expel Largo from Scabb and effectively lift the Largo Embargo.
Later in the game, the Zombie Pirate LeChuck tells his Voodoo Priest to begin work on a very special voodoo doll. In the game's last scenario he reveals that he has a voodoo doll of Guybrush, which is meant to transport Guybrush into a dimension of eternal pain. Instead, it transports him to another room in the series of tunnels beneath Dinky Island. Guybrush must gather the ingredients to make a voodoo doll of LeChuck while trying to avoid LeChuck finding him and torturing him some more. Guybrush succeeds and pulls the leg off his LeChuck doll, dismembering the real LeChuck and seemingly securing victory, leading up to the game's strange ending.
Ingredients
In Largo's voodoo doll Guybrush brings the following pieces to the Voodoo Lady:
- A brassiere retrieved from Mad Marty's cleaners (Thread)
- Some scalp flakes from his toupee (Head)
- Some spit from the wall of the Bloody Lip (Body)
- A bone from the grave of Marco Largo LaGrande at the Scabb Island Cemetery (Dead)
The Voodoo Lady assembles the doll from these pieces.
In LeChuck's voodoo doll Guybrush uses the following ingredients:
- His underwear, pulled right off him (Thread)
- Pieces of his beard trapped in an elevator door (Head)
- A handkerchief on which LeChuck generously blows his nose (Body)
- A skull supposedly belonging to Guybrush's father, seemingly aligning with LeChuck's claim that he and Guybrush are brothers (Dead)
He puts these ingredients and a generic kewpie doll into the juju bag that contained Wally's love bomb and shakes it around; it explodes into the voodoo doll.
The Curse of Monkey Island
In the third game there are some paper voodoo dolls on the floor at the Voodoo Lady's house on Plunder Island, supposedly left behind by the Voodoo kids. When Guybrush removes a pin from one of them, Mort the Gravedigger is shown exclaiming in relief from pain.
Tales of Monkey Island
At the beginning of the most recent game Guybrush reviews the recipe list of the Cursed Cutlass of Kaflu. A voodoo doll is apparently one of the ingredients used to make the cutlass.
