'''Charity James''' was the second voice actress to perform [[Elaine Marley]] in the [[Monkey Island (series)|''Monkey Island'' series]]. Unlike her predecessor [[Alexandra Boyd]], who performed her role with a British accent, in ''[[Escape from Monkey Island]]'' James portrayed Elaine as having an American accent. Her voice role was noticeably more prominent due to Elaine's bigger presence in this game than in her previous appearances. Boyd, however, appears to have been more of a fan favourite, and James did not reprise the role in later installments. James has done several supporting character-roles in television and animated films.
