Personal life

Dominic's favourite game is The Curse of Monkey Island, and he also likes "the original MI for hitting an 11 on the 1 to 10 scale of goofy fun".<cite_reference_link>

His greatest fear is either drowning in an underwater cave all by himself, or making napkin rings for all eternity under the watchful eye of Martha Stewart. He likes travelling abroad because it's fun.<cite_reference_link> His favourite drink is Obatini - 3 parts Plum Wine, 3 parts Cranberry Juice, 2 parts Malibu, shaken over ice and strained.<cite_reference_link> He runs a culinary blog.

Professional life

The only non-voice performance he has given was in an episode of Chicago Hope in 1997.<cite_reference_link> After 2003 Dominic Armato did not work as a professional voice actor for almost four years as he and his sister are working as webmasters for their father's family business.[Unconfirmed]<cite_reference_link> He has since resumed voice acting in 2007 in the game Crysis.

Monkey Island

Dominic Armato was a Monkey Island fan before eventually auditioning for the role of Guybrush in The Curse of Monkey Island (1997). Armato reputedly owned The Secret of Monkey Island on Sega-CD.

He voiced Guybrush again in Escape from Monkey Island (2000), the third and fourth games of the series. He returned in 2009 in the new installment Tales of Monkey Island as well as for The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, a remake of the original game. The following year he also voiced Guybrush for Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck's Revenge and so has now voiced Guybrush in every game of the series.

Armato has also voiced some animals in the series, including a duck and a monkey in Escape and the notoriously repetitive Pyrite Parrot in Tales.
